interposition

This on-site durational digital installation was conducted while investigating the Rievaulx Abbey in Yorkshire, England, while writing the Ruins essay within my Master Thesis entitled Enframed. Interposition exercise intervenes the ruins of Rievaulx Abbey by imagining a new entity that coexists with the ruins. With a thick paper and a pair of scissors, new planes and volumes were cut out and ‘inserted’ into the ruins on-site.
